Tim Burton once said 'Every piece of art starts off shocking to some degree' - this was definatly true with my drawing, whilst being artistic, I just could not draw; there was something wrong with the connection between the picture in my mind to the one that ended up on paper, something was lost by the time it reached my arm. However it lead me to photography, I found that a camera could be used to accuractly put on paper what was in my mind and this time it did not turn out to be shocking, not even in the beginning. I still agree with Burton, every art does start off shocking in some degree. Whenever I start a new photography project I always wonder; Where exactly is this going to go? Is it going to take shape? But some how it always does and I am always fascinated with the outcome.

As a young child my parents always encouraged me to visit art galleries and I loved exploring the work of artists because what they create invites the viewer inside their soul a little, therefore even when you don't like an artists work you should always respect it.
