This was possibly my favourite project so far as another passion of mine is music. Thats the beauty of photography, it allows you to incorporate other hobbies.
For the first half of the project I concentrated on instruments, not the performers. I wanted to create ambigious shots, where the point of focus is a very small amount of the instrument, and so the whole instrument can not be viewed. I used a black and white Epsom 100 film in a Canon EOS 300 SLR camera.

I then decided to concentrate on performers, luckily I got the chance to photograph the band Tinariwen whilst they were having a sound check. So I went along with my digital Fujifilm S5600 camera and photographed them for around three hours, in the last hour to my surprise and huge delight, they were joined by Robert Plant, lead singer of Led Zepplin and began to have fun performing some of Led Zepplin big hits like Stairwell to Heaven and Whole Lotta Love.
